Historically, the Good Food Foundation organizes the Good Food Awards Weekend each January. In this three-day event, 900 Winners, their guests and food luminaries attend a gala Ceremony and After Party. The next afternoon, over 600 wholesale buyers and 150 crafters participate in the Good Food Mercantile, the “un-trade show” for tasty, authentic, responsible food. On the final day, 60 Winners and 1,000 members of the general public attend the Good Food Marketplace.
Due to evolving public health recommendations and limitations on gatherings in San Francisco, the Good Food Foundation has adjusted the format of the Good Food Awards Weekend in January 2021 in order to ensure the safety of our community. The Ceremony will be held virtually on Friday, January 22, with an opportunity to purchase a snack box full of winning treats. The Mercantile will be held virtually over the course of three weeks, with Winners from each category pitching their products over Zoom to a live audience of specialty food buyers. And finally, the Marketplace will pop up for two weeks only on the Good Food Foundation website, allowing good food aficionados from around the country to show their support.
The Good Food Foundation will keep all Winners informed of any changes to the January programming. We remain fully committed to organizing a high quality, safe and successful Good Food Awards Weekend in January.
