Good Food Foundation Welcomes Nora Weiser as Executive Director
San Francisco, CA (September 18, 2024) — The Good Food Foundation, dedicated to celebrating and supporting food crafters who push the envelope of sustainability and social responsibility, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nora Weiser as its new Executive Director. Weiser brings a wealth of non-profit leadership experience in the food and beverage sector with a proven track record of driving innovation and strategic growth while building community.
“I’m excited to join the organization at this pivotal time as it heads into its 15th year,” said Weiser. “Consumers have always craved foods that taste good, but now more than ever we also crave authenticity in the products we consume.” The Good Food Foundation champions specialty foods and beverages that combine good taste, authenticity, and responsibility with respect for where food comes from, who makes it, and how it reaches our tables.
Weiser spent a decade as Executive Director of the American Cheese Society, supported the formation of the American Cider Association, and chaired the board of the Specialty Food Foundation. She has introduced pioneering certification programs, advocated for food safety, built strong relationships across the supply chain, and established creative partnerships within the public and private sectors. Her diplomatic and collaborative approach has made her a respected leader in the specialty food and beverage community. With a commitment to Good Food’s mission, Weiser will further the foundation’s efforts to support exceptional food and its crafters through impactful initiatives like its Awards, Guild, Merchants Alliance, and Mercantiles.
