Community Choice Voting Gives Good Food Lovers a Voice

Milestone edition of the Good Food Awards invites public to crown their favorite past winners
San Francisco, CA (April 15, 2025) – For the first time ever, the public is being invited to cast their votes for standout products that have previously won a coveted Good Food Award (GFA). All of the past GFA Award-winning products included in this Community Choice voting process were submitted by makers whose craft, care, and commitment continue to make an impact on the food and retail landscape.
Since 2011, the GFAs have been unique in combining recognition for responsible practices and awards for superior taste. The awards honor social and environmental responsibility while simultaneously celebrating craftsmanship and flavor. Panels of judges take part in blind tastings to score and select each year’s winners against exacting good food standards.
“15 Years of Good Food Awards is a celebration of the passion and innovation of the countless artisans who have transformed the landscape of American food,” said Nora Weiser, Executive Director of the Good Food Foundation. “We’re proud to celebrate this milestone, and excited to include the good-food-loving public in the process.”
Participants will be able to vote for their favorite products in 18 categories from cheese and chocolate to preserves and snacks. This Community Choice voting process will reflect the admiration of industry peers, consumer awareness, product reach, and the continued relevance of these winning products to retailers, chefs, and everyday consumers.
Voting will remain open for the 15 Years of Good Food Awards through May 15, 2025. Top finalists in each category will be announced by May 31, with winners revealed June 28 at the Good Food Mercantile in New York City. This industry-only event brings together responsible food crafters, independent retailers, and mission-aligned buyers to discover the best in tasty, authentic, and responsible food.
