The Good Food Awards were established in 2010 to celebrate two food and beverage product features that for too long had only been recognized separately: responsible practices and superior taste. Because truly good food – the kind that brings people together and builds strong, healthy communities – embrace social and environmental responsibility, craftsmanship and flavor, all at once.
In 2025, the Good standards reviewed and updated with subject matter experts, industry groups, and Good Food Committee Chairs. As the Good Food Awards continue under the Specialty Food Association’s stewardship in 2026, these standards remain in place as a meaningful way to advance the good food movement.
