Good Earth Natural Foods

Organic to the Core Since 1969
image description
For nearly 50 years, Good Earth Natural Foods has been committed to offering our community the highest quality, organic food we can find. We believe that organic foods offer us the best opportunity to heal our bodies and the earth, which is why we work diligently to provide the largest selection of organics in Marin County. Never content to simply accept the status quo, we have always pushed the envelope and tried to encourage food growers and manufacturers to produce food of higher quality. We offer foods grown and prepared using a minimum of processing and no chemical pesticides or food additives. If we cannot meet this ideal with a certain food item, we get as close as we can, and make as much noise as we can to change it for the better. Al Baylacq and Mindee Jeffrey, Co-Owners of Good Earth Natural Foods in Mill Valley, California

Our family still heads out on the floor to make sure you’ve got everything you need, because we don’t just call ourselves mom n’ pop – we strive to make you part of our family. Gus’s Market is by locals for locals. We have been serving the best our area has to offer to the best people in the area for almost four decades. The Meadow

With 3 little shops in Portland, OR and one little shop in New York's Soho neighborhood, The Meado believes that little shops make your cities and towns the places you love.
image description
We believe in the power of hometown mainstreet, of a thriving commercial core where people know one another, work together, support one another, and walk amongst the fun and weirdness that is unique to your neck of the woods. We have an online shop, but we would not hold it against you if you slapped shut that laptop or put that cell phone away and went out on the town to shop instead. But when you do shop with us, you’re joining us in advancing our mission in other, but important ways. Mark Bitterman, Selmelier and CEO, The Meadow

Woodstock Farmers Market

A very busy, crazy, year round market of fantastic food.
image description
We're really hard to describe—we serve our local community great food that ranges from take-out prepared dinners and lunches to regular stuff like milk and eggs to fresh organic produce and everything in between. Our vision for the Market has always been to make great food accessible to everyone. We all love food and love to cook but we're not snobby about it. In fact, we don't consider ourselves "gourmet," because it implies exclusivity, and we believe that anyone can create great food. What sets us apart is that we take this job of "bringing the food to the people" very seriously. We're concerned about the process: what we charge for our products, what ingredients we use, how clean we are, who our vendors and farmers are, where our fruits, vegetables and ingredients come from and how we treat each other and our guests. Patrick Crowl, Owner of Woodstock Farmers Market in Woodstock, Vermont

The Zingerman's Community of Businesses

A family of ten businesses all located in the Ann Arbor area.
image description
The Zingerman’s Community of Businesses (ZCoB) reflects the novel strategy for business growth created by Zingerman’s Deli founders Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig. Rather than replicating their deli through the franchise model, Paul and Ari instead chose to develop new, independent businesses, all rooted in our local community that work together as one organization. Each business is operated by one or more managing partners who share ownership and put their particular expertise to work in the day to day running of their business. Grace Singleton, Managing Partner at Zingerman's Delicatessen in Ann Arbor, Michigan
